Man falls from cliff near Hotel Bendinat in Mallorca

Emergency services responded to an incident at the cliff at Portals Nous this morning, just below Hotel Bendinat, where a man is reported to have fallen several metres. The Bombers de Mallorca helicopter, a rescue boat, Calvia lifeguards, local police, and medical teams are all on site.

The fall occurred at around 11.30am on Monday. The injured man, believed to be in his early 40s, was rescued by the Calvia Fire Brigade and the Inca Mountain Rescue Group. According to sources, he sustained a severe head injury and may have fractured his hip and arm. He is being evacuated by ambulance.

Hotel Bendinat features a seafront terrace approximately five metres above the rocks. The circumstances of the fall are currently unclear, and it is unknown whether it was accidental. Witnesses report that the man was near the hotel but was not staying there when he fell from the adjacent cliff. Guests heard his cries for help and immediately alerted authorities.
